Introduction

This is my 1972 Volvo 142 Deluxe. It has got a B20A 2-liter engine and a 4-gearbox.

I bought this car in August 2011 from a family who drove the kids to school with it. They sold it because there was work on the car they didn't want to do. Also the car already had a quite some rusty spots.

The engine in the car at that time, a B18, had over-pressure so the oil came out througt the airfilter. As soon as I could replaced the engine with the B20 I had.

After more then a year driving this car everywhere (I put 25000km extra to the 400000km already on it) it is time to give this car what it really needs. I have to restore a lot of parts, including the engine, and get all the rust removed.

From this point I would like to use this blog to show the whole proces of taking a Volvo 142 to pieces, restore it and put it back together.
