The Future

Lets have a look to the future. I'm still quite busy taking the 142 apart, but ofcourse I'm making plans of what it should look like. And no, this will not be a regular restoration. It's gonna be a "mild custom".

A friend of me came over to put my plans an paper. Take a look at this!

I've been searching and thinking of what I would do to the 142. It might look like a topchop, but that's just the sketch.

The overall idea is to have a 70's style rally car. I will try to give the car a more sporty look by reshaping the backwindows. All the lights will be off a Mazda RX-3 Savannah, the rimms will be Volvo 15 hole steelies with whitewalls. Still figuring what I should do with the bumpers. Leave them as is, lose them or something else?

What do you think. Any suggestions or ideas on this?

Back to work

The last weeks I had some delay in disassembling the 142. The owner of my garage decided to put a new roof on it. A very good plan, because birds where shitting all over the car. Not so good in the plan was that it is winter, and it was snowing... But now the place is better then ever, and I'm back to work.

Yesterday I got most of the stuff out of the engine bay, got the steering wheel out and removed the exhaust. Brakesystem and the block are still there.

Today me and my buddy Babe concentrated mostly on what was left of the interior. Also, we got the gastank out (gas that is, not petrol/benzine/whatever. LPG!)We removed the doors, front- and rear windshield and rear side windows.

Damage: 1 front windshield cracked (needed to go, was damaged already, so np), 1 sidewindow (Shit... "Ah, so thís is the way to remove it without breaking it!" @ the other side)

Think I need a "store-all-the-stuff-day" next week.
